“ Absolutely loved my stop at Big Ray’s Fish Camp on the Riverwalk! This place is a hidden gem with a laid-back vibe and seriously delicious food. First off, Janice at the window was a total delight—super sweet, courteous, and made the whole experience that much more memorable. She’s the kind of person who makes you feel instantly welcome. Now, let’s talk food—the grouper sandwich is an absolute must. Perfectly cooked, fresh, and packed with flavor. I’d go back just for that alone. I also tried the shrimp burger—fair warning, it’s super messy, but wow, the flavor more than makes up for it. If you don’t mind a few napkins, it’s totally worth it. If you’re walking the Riverwalk and craving something tasty with a side of great service, don’t miss this spot. Highly recommend! ”
“ Food snob here...garlic parm fries are ridiculous and I ordered the shrimp corn dog almost as a joke...I don't care that much for shrimp. But that shrimp corn dog is stupid good. ”
“ We were greeted immediately and told someone would be right with us. Janice came to the window with lots of enthusiasm. When i gave her my order (shrimp burger), she said that was one of her favs and gave me a tip about the tangy coleslaw! Yum ”
“ Almost didn’t eat here because of the low reviews, so now I feel obligated to comment. I was surprised by how good this was! I ordered the grouper Reuben with garlic Parmesan loaded fries and conch fritters to share with my Mom for lunch. It was entirely too much food. There were 8 fritters to an order and the fritters were loaded with more conch than I found in some places in USVI. They had a legit conch flavor! The Reuben was huge and the grouper was fresh and cooked just right- fantastic sandwich. And if you’re getting fries, you gotta go loaded- the garlic parm was fantastic. If I had to complain, it would be because the sandwich was sitting on top of the fries, but that’s just being stupid. It was still all delicious. Is it a little pricey? Yes- but you’re in a massive tourist area and the size and value of the food was definitely worth the price. I would 100% eat here again. ”
“ I don't understand why this place gets low reviews. We had an early lunch here on a Saturday after going to the Auto Show. Service was quick and friendly. Food was hot and quite tasty. Portions are huge. We had: Shrimp Burger, Wings, UPeel Shrimp, and the Fried Shrimp Basket. The burger was amazing and the wings were super flavorful. The U Peel Shrimp was a bit salty and messy but in the end yum. The day was super hot but the fans provided a nice breeze while watching the boats go by on the Hillsborough River. ”

“ Great little seafood joint down by the Riverwalk. It was especially beautiful to see during the New Years evening celebration when I was put with my friend, you can't go wrong with a brightly lit atmosphere, friendly people, great entertainment and so much more. I personally don't see why reviews of this place are mixed, I think it's a nice place to get food and relax at whether it's for lunch or dinner as you get a nice view of the river, it's well connected to the Streetcar over by Dick Grezo Station, the live band entertainment is excellent to see when they're around to perform etc. What more can you ask for? The staff were nice folks to talk to, and their service is very efficient. The food was delicious to eat, my personal favorites had to be the shrimp burger and their conch Fritters, they certainly were the top sellers of the menu. It's not just seafood they have on offer, they also have sandwiches, chicken tenders and much more mouthwatering items that you wouldn't be able to resist. Overall, this is definitely a place I'm proud to say I'll return to the next time I'm downtown and I most certainly would recommend giving it a chance, not everyday you get a seafood joint located next to a river. ”
